Excellent food and pleasant staff

Best restaurant and the owener is very friendly ..

Dont laugh but my wife and I are on a Slimming World diet so stopping off for an Indian meal after a long day at our music competition had to be a real treat.. and so it was... but not in any way positive.. maybe thats a bit harsh but youd understand our disappointment if the last time you ate a naughty calorie, Ronald Reagan was promoting wrinkle cream and Garry Glitter was actually popular... So we stopped off in Pershore on our way back to Derbyshire.. alarm bells should have rung when we walked into a totally deserted salon that smelled of leaky colostomy bag.. we were greeted however by a smiley face and an enthusiastic manner.. a bit like Brad and Janet when Riff Raff opens the door... I think you get the picture... So we sat down to eat.. nice decor, clean restaurant.. so far so good but I couldnt help but scan the place for lilies.. it was THAT smell! Drinks order arrived.. 2 pints of flat pop.. always the case in Indian restaurants.. this was no exception. Next we ordered popadums, 2 each.. we got 1 each. Ok were fat but Im having a treat and I love pops.. never mind, well have a starter. Onion Bhajis.. actually very nice but the garnish was just lettuce and cabbage. No tomato, no lemon?? Main courses ordered (I ordered lamb byriani, the waiter heard chicken bhuna... nope? Me neither) thankfully he read it back before he took it to the kitchen! My wife ordered chicken tikka off the bone. So, the food arrived on a trolley. Well presented. A pile of bowl shaped byriani for me with a vegetable curry on the side, a sizzling platter of tikka on a bed of onions for my wife.. that took about 4 minutes for the waiter to transfer from the skillet to a plate.. I was mesmerised.. total disbelief.. just pour the chuffing thing onto the plate! Im 46.. I can tell you in all of those years I have never had a bad curry.. some better than others but never one that Ive thought.. thats rubbish.. until last night.. it was dire. There was absolutely no spice, no garlic, no seasoning, no flavour to my rice or sauce.. it was truly rubbish! And my wifes tikka.. Christ! Boiled chicken in a tandoori oven?? Thats surely sacrilegious.. and so rubbery I thought it might have been everlasting chewing gum from the Wonka factory! No char on the meat but it was red in colour.. but then so is the sole of my plimsole.. which I suspect is marginally tastier! All in all a poor experience.. thankfully we wont need to return as we are back to our own land where good restaurants are a plenty and Slimming World food is significantly more appetising. But if I were you.. find alternative eateries, this was awful. Its a pity 0 stars is not an option...

it is really nice food they are nice and polite people and they are caring and considerate people that would change something if needs be they have a colour code for there clothing for the workers and they are the best Indian so afraid that I have had

Still good, but a bit quiet!
