Moved to the area and had a flat battery. Phoned and booked my car in and the garage said they would order in the relevant battery for my Peugeot. Took it in and paid134,09 for the new battery. As I don't use my car very often as my husband and I often go out together in his car and as he is disabled he can't get into my car. I went to visit my daughter in Birmingham and on returning stopped in Studley. When I restarted the car a red box a bit like a heart monitor lit up and then the engine warning light came on. Their is a diagnostic menu on my car. When I read this it said there was a fault with the Anti Pollution System. I returned home and phoned a mobile mechanic the next day as I was worried about moving my car. He met me and brought a diagnostic machine. He spent 50 minutes in the rain and asked if I'd had any recent work done to the car. Answer, no just a new battery. He explained that when this had been changed, due to low voltage ( not quite sure the full explanation) the computer should have been reset, and that there was actually nothing wrong with my car. He reset it and checked everything after showing me the many faults that had shown up that actually were not faults. 80 cost!!! I phoned Pershore Service Centre and the lady in the Service Centre said they had replaced the battery as I requested. End of. Needless to say I have kept the mobile mechanics number and will use him in future as he obviously knows more about cars than a large service centre.
